Can't connect Bluetooth headphones with PIN

I have some old bluetooth headphones I have been using for years while running. They connect to my smartphone and my laptop without any problem, but my vivoactive 4 fails to connect: I suppose it happens because they require to enter a PIN (the usual 1234).

I have no software for the headphones, has anyone encountered the same problem and found a possibile solution.

Thanks to anyone who could help

  • I have some old bluetooth headphones

What is the make and model of these headphones?

  • Hi,

it's called Calypso, the manufacturer could be B-Speech

  • Looks like those were on Amazon at one time. I have some no-name headphones that I tested with my epix (Gen 2). I got them to work, with some effort. Also, like yours, no extra software came with these. I started with resetting the headphones to defaults. If you still have the manual or if it's online you might have to figure out the button sequence. I then unpaired these headphones from my phone and turned off Bluetooth, so the phone wouldn't try to pair with the headphones. Then on my watch Sensors & Accessories >> Add New >> Headphones. The watch found them with no PIN entry required.

Slightly different pairing sequence on the vivoactive 4 - vívoactive 4/4S - Connecting Bluetooth Headphones (garmin.com)

  • Hi, thanks a lot for your advide. I'll try to find the way to reset them, I'm pretty sure the point is the PIN code.
Btw, my Garmin connects with no problems to any other headphenes and my headphones connect to any other device.
