New SW update on 21st November now draining battery in 12-16 hours

Does anyone have any issues with recently updating their Vivoactive 4s? Did the software update and now the battery drains within 12 -16 hours.

Overnight charged, put on at 5.30 am and now at 4.10pm it is at 50 % already. Used to get at least 3 days or so. It is only 2 years old (December 2021). I don't have a massive amount of notifications etc, and nothing that I changed to cause such a drain.

Have sent an email to Garmin, but they have a 3-4 day turnaround for answers.

I too have a lot of problems after the recent update. The battery lasts a few hours and I can no longer connect with the smartphone, and the watch's Bluetooth is no longer visible. I saw that the ANT/BLE/BT software version shows 0.00 for you too?

What update? What was updated? Last sw update was 11 months ago.

Hi Vizi, every now and again the watch updates to the latest software, so this was done and am now having these issues.

Don't have any issues with the app connection. My ANT/BLE etc says 8.02, Wifi version 2.60.

I did send an email to Australia support and they have asked a few more questions, so hopefully there will be something I can do.

I did turn it off and on, and that seems to have stopped it going from hero to zero in a few hours. So I will monitor today and see how it goes. It is on charge now and will see how long it lasts.

At my place it is the same. The watch charged yesterday, the battery app suddenly showed a consumption of 200%/hour. Do something about it or leave the watch update alone.

After the latest update, the full battery lasts a scant 5h. Previously, the consumption was ~ 0.9%/h - now it's over 22%/h. Do something about it, it's impossible to use even the watch functions with such consumption, not to mention training.

That is just timezone update, it does not affect software of the watch.

7.80 gps 6.00 ant/ble 8.02 wifi 2.60

7.80 is version from 11 months ago. I do not think that any problem with Vivo 4 is due to software update from 11 months ago
