The battery behaves abnormally, even though it works fine.

When I forget my watch in charging (minimum 4 hours) the battery works great and drains slowly! The watch reaches 4 days without problems.

When I charge the watch respecting the charging time (max 30 minutes) I see that the battery goes from 100% to 70% in 1 hour.
Afterwards it slowly discharges.

Why does the battery behave this way?
I have to keep it charged for 30min + 4 hours for it to work well.
or
I have to put it on charge after an hour (at 70%) and when it reaches 100% everything is ok again.

Is it a software error regarding the correct battery voltage?
or the battery that has 2 years and 250 charge cycles?!

Lately I've been reading a lot of users complaining about this flaw.
A response from GARMIN is appreciated

  • I have different problem. My battery spends on normal pace from 100 to 50%, but from 50% to 0% it goes 2x faster. User usage remains the same, and this has been happening regularly in last 2 months.

  • Can you try charging your watch for 4 hours continuously?

After doing this charging-test, you will write to me how many days your watch lasts after this charging.

    (important: no GPS activity)

If your watch stays on for 4/5 days the battery is in good condition but perhaps the software has some problems.
