Vivoactive 4S charging issues

Most of the time charging works fine, but three times in the last few months it's failed.

I normally plug the watch in overnight twice a week to charge.

Twice the watch battery was completely dead in the morning. The battery actually discharged rather than charging.

Disconnecting it and reconnecting it started a proper charge.

Once the batter charged properly, but when I disconnected the cable the watch continued to display charging.

I reset the watch to get it back to normal.

Anyone else see this?

  • How are you charging it? With a brick to a wall socket or through a usb port on PC/laptop/etc. ?

I have experienced some issues, sometimes when connecting it to a usb port that it doesn't receive enough current to charge, but that is an issue with the usb port, not the watch.

  • I'm using a brick but I'm pretty sure the watch is the problem.

Having the watch display charging when nothing is connected can't be a charger issue.

  • I suggest contacting Garmin Support, then. I didn't needed it so far, but people around here seem to have had good experience with these kind of problems
