I had the same issue and support just sent me a replacement (a refurbished one). Now I'm having the same issue with the replacement watch after about a year I got it. Time to look for a less faulty smart watch

I would try a factory reset of the watch. First, sync your watch with Garmin Connect, then select the option, "Delete Data and Reset Settings." using these directions - Restoring All Default Settings
If still no luck after that, contact Garmin Product Support for personalized assistance.
I did all you mentioned already and support wants to send me a refurbished replacement watch for an extra $$. I don't want another refurbished watch but I want my watch fixed. Now I can't even factory reset it as touchscreen is completely unresponsive (can't scroll up or down)

I had a similar issue last year but with the HR monitor, they sent me a refurbished replacement and this is the one I'm having issues with. Until 3 days ago I could scroll up and down but not right and left. Now I can't even scroll to any direction
