Vivoactive 4s Incorrect distance & altitude tracking of activities

My Garmin vivoactive 4s shows incorrect distance and altitude of activity. On walk of 14km, 5km are missing and half of the altitude distance is missing Parameters are set correctly (metric - km) everywhere so that's not the issue. How can I solve this? It is the case for more than 5 hikes now making my watch completly useless.

Hard to comment without seing any data. If possible, please post a link to some of the concerned activities. Then we can perhaps spot where the problem could be coming from.

Make sure auto pause is disabled. For slow moving activities it can trigger more often than you want to.
