Vivoactive 4 crashes always when strating to track an activity

I am also having this issue. Running 7.8 as well. Any suggestions?

It is the battery power - id it drops below 60% my Watch crashes! Yours?

Definitely seems related to battery power

Just charged to 100% and tried again and it does the same thing so obviously not directly linked to any power level. Really starting to make me look elsewhere as Garmin don't seem to have a solution for this as they aren't aware of any known issues, despite plenty of users having this issue 

I contacted the supprt through live chat. I returned mine and was sent a replacement (at a cost) but not full price. Mine was well out of warrenty so pretty pleased. New one arrived next day.

Same problem here. I contacted support as well. Haven’t heard anything yet. Also 7.8. Maybe a New update Will do the trick.. i’ll wait for suport to reply. Will get back when there is more..

So I bought my watch in november ‘20 so it’s just out of the guarantee period. Garmin offers me a “refurbished” watch for € 135. What I noticed, indeed, if watch is charged fully, tracking throughout gps works. But when it’s around 40-50% it starts crashing again…
