Vivoactive 4S won't work after only accouple of years

During last 2-3 days the battery started to discharge very quickly (3-5% per hour). Updated watch to latest version, which showed no improvement in battery performance. When trying to charge again Vivoactive 4S became very hot and won't turn on since.

I have been informed that my watch will have to be replaced.

I have only had the watch for 2 years and it hasn't been exposed to any extreme conditions.

I would have expected better quality... hope the support center and replacement will go smoothly 

  • Mine also is now useless after a little more than 2 years. The battery won't hold a charge, and drains within a couple of hours. I've followed all the advice - I've updated the software, and tried resetting (soft and hard factory reset) the watch multiple times. I've charged it fully repeatedly, and cleaned the charging contacts.

    Since I'm out of the 1 year warranty window, they offered to replace it for $98 (US) which seems steep given the short lifespan of the watch.

    Were you able to resolve the problem, or did you have to pay for a recertified watch at $98?

    That's odd :/ mine was replaced quite quickly without any cost  because they were able to track the battery issue to a specific software update 

  • Did they say you were within warranty? Was it customer service chat that helped you?
