My Garmin vivoactive 4s does not register Steps i do on the tredmill

When i walk for e.g. 30 min. On the tredmill, my Garmin vivoactive 4 s does not register any Steps. Is there something i need to change in the settings?

    The first thing is don't hold on to the treadmill rail while walking as that dampens the vibration VA4 has to sense. If you must hold on, put the VA4 in your pocket or on your belt. Some people also put it on their ankles.
