Battery and Maps

1. Recently the battery my vivoactive 4 has started to drain very quickly. Normally its take 4 days for full baterry without any activity to drain. Now about 2 and half days.
I have not changed any setting which increase the battery consumption. Is it normally?

2. Im trying to upload a GPX file with map to my connect account via garmin connect website and its present me a message that its failed.
Is the Vivoactive 4 doesnt support uploading maps to connect and show it in the watch?

  • I'm facing the same issue since several days. I think it started after the software update to version 7.80. Did you also do the update?

  • Yes. The watch did an automatic version update during charging, but i think its happend before.

Started with 7.10. Notifications quit working at the same time for me.

Lots of complaints at the Garmin forums, I'm a little shocked a fix isn't available yet.

My workaround has been to power off and power on the watch about twice a day.

  • Software v7.20 and later introduced battery drain. Some users complained but Garmin support did what it does best - just ignore bug reports.

Maps are not supported on Vivoactive 4 due to Garmin not wanting to provide that functionality on Vivoactive watches even though hardware supports it. Use Komot or Dwmaps CIQ apps, they work surprisingly well
