Hello guys, recently my Vivoactive 4S battery couldn't charge, 2 and a half years after i bought it, 6 months after end of warranty. I think it was about 250 euros i bought it and this is not what i would call customer satisfaction.
On the contrary, myfirst fitness tracker, a Fitbit Charge HR lasted about 5 years and my Mi Band 4 still runs ok after 6 years!
However, i kind of got used to Garmin, their App and the free developer made widgets, apps, data screens in the Connect store and i do want to have some of their metrics.
So, my strategy is the following. I opened the watch and the battery needs soldering to be connected. I will leave it for the moment.
I am thinking of buying a Fenix 5, the one with screws for the case, AND a simple connector for the battery and buy a second battery beforehand. So i guess i will be good for about 5 years. It is similar to the VA4S, it costs a bit more, it has the data i need, Stress, Sleep, Pulse Ox, GPS, VO2max, everything except for Body Battery, which i will have to sacrifice. What do you think?
