Sleep Data not accurate on Vivoactive 4s

Hello

so i got a Vivoactive 4s recently and i must say the Watch is pretty nice.

I also have a Prevention circul+ for comparison.

So far the Data seems pretty accurate except the Sleep Data.

Sleep Data is totally off, for example it tells me that i slept 14~ hours but i only slept like 6~ hours, wake time is off, deep sleep tells me almost 3 hours where circul say deep sleep about 1.5 hours

Basically everything is off on sleep data.

Any ideas?

  • Update

After installing Garmin Express and connecting my Watch it suddenly added Spotify(which i don't want) and removed my Card from Garmin pay.

    What is up with that?

  • Garmin never got sleep right, I basically gave up using it as a sleep tracker. So don't bother, I have used Garmin products for 5 years already (I also had a Vivoactive 3 before), and they never improved anything sleep-wise. All the fitness trackers/smartwatches on the market have trade-offs, some get something right but something totally off, and Garmin is no exception. I like the always-on display and Garmin Pay, plus fitness tracking features are pretty accurate, so that's it. Garmin knows that too, it doesn't bother improving things when there's no real competition

  • i have given up on garmin data, sleep etc

it tells me i slept for 17~ t 19~ from somewhat 6pm to 9pm or so, although i have sleep set from 2 to 10 or 12 to 8.

So sleep is not anything you can rely on, not even close

I am seriously thinking about getting rid of the watch, what use is a Watch if you can't rely on its data that is promised.

Garmin should stick to Navigation, that's what their good at and that's why i bought the watch.

Oh btw, charging 350 $ or more for something that doesn't work... surprised Garmin is still in business

  • i also have a problem with the sleep data. The funny thing is that at first, the data is correct! Then later on the day when I sync again, it somehow gets messed up. I think it has to do that my "normal" sleep time is set to 11 to 7 while I only went to bed at 1 am. So in the morning it correctly shows the data, but later on the day, the garmin server may have done some "processing" and then thinks my bed time must have been more around 11 pm, so it adjusts it. maybe you have a similar problem

(btw I am a new user since a few days)

  • That sounds like you signed up with 2 emails (one in connect and the other in express)and it records with one but syncs with the other

Well but it is all in the past soon, i just ordered the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, i am aware it doesn't last as long but with accurate data i can live with that.

  • received  Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro and am pretty happy as it does as promised. Lasts 3 Days so the same. Doesn't record Oxygen automatically except sleep it does which is what want. Sleep data is correct according to Prevention circul+.

Happy i spent a bit more...
