My vivoactive continually reboots with Gear icon.

Assuming an update failed since my phone was low and went into battery saver mode. If this is the case would think Garmin Connect software would verify phone battery life. I cant re sync or even connect with Garmin Express. Is this watch simply toast. Now I have to wear an apple watch if my garmin is bricked.

I had vivo4 earlier and that happened only with some IQstore watchfaces. Actually watchface chrashed. At least try first garmin's own watchface so you see if taht is the problem. If not -> garmin-support... (it is possible that old working watchface is not compatible with new firmware)

Would be good if I could test that theory but since watch is in a constant reboot loop it cannot be accessed. Besides I wasnt using any IQStore watchfaces but sounds pretty stupid to do a firmware update that would crash your watch making it unusable because you were using content from IQStore.
