Vivoactive 4 switches off

I have Vivoactive 4 and since 2 or 3 updates back the device will turn off if an activity starts with the battery lower than 97/98 percent. It will run just fine for the duration of the activity, even a marathon but once that activity is complete you will need to charge it back to 100 percent to attempt a sync.

The device also did not capture correct running speed after the first update, if i ran faster than my normal average it would track me as being slower even if i was just short of a sprint, this is minor compared to the switching off though

It is extremely annoying, I have done a factory reset already.

  • I am also having the same problem. I tried to put watch on charging mode, but still watch switched off during wifi sync repeatedly.

I have also done factory reset, but still this problem persists.

I have subscribed to running coach, and next days prescribed run activity is synced with watch only thru wifi sync and not thru  the Bluetooth sync with a mobile device.

  • Same here. My Vivoactive 4 is frequently and randomly shutting down despite having at times over 50% battery; rendering the watch unusable. Please advise support.

  • I had the same problem and I recognized that it was happening when the watch needed more power from the battery. At first, it was happening with NFC payment or pulse ox measurement, for example. Then the watch started to power off without any reason when the battery dropped to around 50%. So, I had the battery replaced and all the symptoms are gone now. The battery now lasts over a week, which I never experienced before.

My watch is over three years old, so the battery was kind of predisposed to be worn out.
