Anyway to downgrade firmware? 7.2 has been absolutely killing my standby battery life.

UPDATE: I sent in my watch for a replacement with a new battery after talking to support and so far the standby life has been EVEN BETTER than before, even on 7.2 firmware. 

I've been using my Vivoactive 4 consistently since May 2021. I use no HR or other sensors. Simply run GPS for my runs and bikes and have it as a minimal smart watch most of the time. It has consistently easily lasted 6-9 days (depending on how much my sleeves wake up the screen light).

Over the last month i've noticed a sudden drop in battery life. Like losing 25% on my bedstand overnight. Barely makes it passed 2.5 days on my wrist with no GPS activities. etc...

I've turned off all sensors. Use a very lightweight watch face. I really feel it must have to do with the firmware upgrade to either 7.1 or 7.2 based on the forum posts here.

    I own a vivoactive 4 and I also experience the same suddenly drop of battery life max 12 hours. And no activity running, Did factory reset and with standard watchface it is the same.

    I think Garmin has to do some howework this is not how it should work.

    I also had this huge battery drain on my VA4. Already considering buying a new watch, but since a week it looks like the battery usage is suddenly okay again. About 2 weeks ago the battery only lasted 20 hours on a battery. Now I'm on day 4 and still 20% left. Strange, because there was no firmware update from Garmin in the meantime. I did get a GPS update about a week ago, but I  don't know this fixed it..? I already did a reboot and factory restore before, which didn't help.

    How are your experiences with battery drain now? I'm still not sure if my battery drain is fixed now bij software, or there is still a hardware failure on the battery that will happen again sometime... ;)

    Ok, and suddenly, since yesterday my battery is draining again in one day :(

    Very confused what is causing this battery drain...

    Did you find a solution? I'm very frustrated as my battery isn't even lasting 8 hours now after the last update.

    I already bought a new watch.... (Venu 2). Think this battery issue is a hardware failure and no firmware update will fix it ;)

    I uninstalled the watch face, and the battery life seems significantly better

    This battery drain is frustrating. 

    Numerous people are posting about this same issue, but the complaints fall on deaf ears. Unfortunately something similar happened in early 2021 with firmware 5.1 and that also took an eternity to fix., despite numerous complaints. Can someone from Garmin chime in and offer us any help? We wont be running out to buy a new Garmin watch, with as bad as the firmware has been on the Vivoactive series.

    To date, Im on 7.80 and battery life is still chopped down a good 30%. It's been this way since 7.20. I have only stock watch faces installed, have rebooted, etc
