Vivo active 4 won't start

Hi guys my watch when I plug in to charge shows a triangle for a few seconds and than goes black and won't turn on. I've tried holding button down for 30 seconds to restart it but no joy. Any help would be much appreciated

  • Hello! If your device is able to be detected when plugged into a Windows or Mac computer, I recommend reviewing the steps below and let us know if your issue gets resolved.

    Garmin is aware of an issue impacting vivoactive 4, 4S, and Venu watches.  We have identified the issue and have released an update to version 7.20 with fixes for the issue. The update has currently been released to 60% of users as of the time of this post. To update your watch you can do the following: 

    1. Power your watch off and then on using the button on the upper right

    2. Sync with Garmin Express. See FAQ https://support.garmin.com/?faq=IB1TjAKZso2F6mKr3hYqy9 for instructions to download and install Garmin Express

    After you sync your watch, software version 7.20 will be installed and you should no longer experience the issue of your watch no longer syncing, Connect IQ watch faces no longer displaying, or activities no longer saving.
