June hiking challenge

I have not been able to get the hiking challenge on the garmin vivoactive 4s. It was suggested I go into the garmin connect app. I went in saw I could create the hike after the fact which I did. It did not show up as progress on the hiking challenge. Does anyone have other ideas that they found would work? Thank you

I have a VA4 and I simply use the WALK app and the once the activity is done and saved in connect I change the activity TYPE from WALKING to HIKING. I just completed the Hiking challenge and it works.

If you have done that then try to leave the challenge and then rejoin it.

Put "hike" into CIQ search, there are at least a few apps that can record hiking and it progress the challenge.
