Body Battery and covid

I usually end up with close to 100 percent Body Battery every morning after a good night of sleep.
This morning, the Body Battery was showing 20 percent. The sleep readings and resting heart rate were normal.

Took a quick covid test, and sure enough, it was positive.

  • I had the same with stomach flu. Whenever the body is fighting with something, stress will be higher and that will reflect on low body battery

  • I have read that quality health tracking devices can show Covid early but interesting to get first hand confirmation it works.

    get well soon ovekvam

  • That is quite interesting.

A while ago I noticed that one or two glasses of wine elevated my bed time HR, which then slowly falls to normal overnight. This also means my resting HR is higher and body battery is lower than after a normal night's sleep.

I had always assumed that a viral infection would be similar (especially with a fever, which will increase heart rate). I haven't had the opportunity to observe, not having had a virus for a few years now. So it's a surprise to me that body battery alone was the change from your normal that alerted you that something was up ...

Thanks for posting, and as Mike says get well soon

  • Hi ovekvam, hope things are well with you. Just wondering if you'd be willing to provide a progress update? PM if you'd rather

  • I had rather mild symptoms, but I am still not 100 percent recovered. My throat is sore, and I am holding back on cardio exercise. Otherwise no issues. My resting heart rate is a bit higher than normal, but that could also be due to working night shifts this week.
