If I manually add an activity, Garmin doesn't seem to be able to reach back and get the HR data for this, even though I was wearing my watch, VivioA 4S. Am I doing something wrong?

There are several post with this same topic: Let's get this fixed.... should be able to add a manual activity after the activity and have the proper data show up... this isn't the first gen watch.... lets…
But if it tracks HR 24/7, shouldn't it be able to go back and apply that rate to the activity? At least that is what my fitbit can do.

Fitbit and others have been doing this for years. I don't care which metric it uses (run, ,walk, crawl, sleep, playing go fish, standing still, skydiving.....), just throw up whatever heartrate it detect between the hours of my manually logged activity. If I go to the heartrate area on my phone, I can hover over any section of it and it will show me what my rate was at each second so we need to stop saying that the data is not there or that it uses different metrics for each activity.
