Vivo Active 4 - weather not updating (iOS user)

The weather on my Vivo Active 4 doesn’t update. I followed the troubleshooting suggested (Keep connect app open, make sure location is “always on” etc.) Is there a solution for this? If not this watch’s usefulness is significantly diminished and I will return to REI right away. 

  • I am sorry to say I have no solution to this, but share the same problem. I often get a red ! and it says I should connect to my phone to update.

    I noticed this started happening about a year ago (?) when I complained that suddenly my phone was disconnecting with my watch and had to keep reconnecting by force-closing the app. It is still connected to bluetooth, but the connection seems to drop off constantly so that it has to be force reconnected. I assume that is why it is not updating things like weather, calendar, and cycle day (although oddly I still get messages and other notifications).

    It is really annoying. Disappointed

  • Thanks for your reply! I think I will just return this watch and get an Apple Watch instead. Im not sure how Garmin can justify charging $300+ for a watch that doesn't update in a reasonable time frame.
