Vivoactive 4 alarm goes off at the wrong time

If I set an alarm the night before for say 7AM (Note that this alarm is pre-setup and I just turn it ON), sometimes, the alarm will randomly go off the same night at 8PM (or 9PM, etc.) even before I go to sleep. I have to then turn in OFF and then ON again and hope that it goes off in the morning. This happens about 5% of the time I turn ON the alarm so its not a consistent bug. My watch is up-to-date. Any idea how to report this bug? Its been around for more than a year now and its starting to get annoying.

  • I have the same problem with my Vivoactive 4.

  • I have the exact same problem. Pretty sure we're stuck with it by this point.

Garmin is not likely to fix it on a watch that's so old.

I just create a brand new alarm every night instead of reactivating an old alarm again.

It's only re-using an existing alarm that causes the issue for me.

  • I think I've figured out the issue. It has to do with the 'snooze'. Say your alarm goes off at 7AM and you hit snooze but you eventually wake up earlier than the 10min snooze timer and turn the alarm off manually, it gets into this broken state. The next time you turn ON the alarm, it may go off at the wrong time. To avoid this from happening, if you hit snooze, never turn off the alarm manually but wait until it goes off at the end of the 10min snooze. I've practiced this for several months and do not see it happening anymore. Hope this helps.
