Vivoactive heats up when charging

I have tried every tip to get my vivoactive 4s to charge ie cleaning connecting pins, charging via laptop but it still doesn’t charge. The watch becomes very hot and no charging icon presents. Watch is one month out of warranty so very disappointing if it is broken. Any ideas?
