.FIT file won't upload when trying to "Import data"

Hi all! I am trying to start up my 80/20 Triathlon Training once again, and program comes with FIT files so that my watch will guide me through the workouts. My problem is that when I download the .FIT files to my MacBookPro and try to open them on my Mac, I get this message "There is no application set to open the document ________”,  but the App Store has nothing that will help me. When I attempt to upload this to my Garmin Connect, I get "One of your files was not accepted by the system.", what do I do to upload these training plans and workouts??

  • I use a Garmin Vivoactive 4S

  • program comes with FIT files

What is the source of the training program? Could you post a sample fit file? Could be it's not compatible, but we can take a look. Also, Macs don't understand MTP devices, such as yours, so you might need the Android File Transfer software to get it onto your watch.

    • Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
    • Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDriveGoogle DriveDropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.
