Activity Tracking Features or Defective?

Greetings vivoactive 4 users!

I've had my vivoactive 4 for a day and a half so far. I'm definitely raising my stress level as a result because I'm either not figuring out the proper settings or understanding the 'functionality'.

Here are my settings:

My issues (or frustrations) are:

1) Just simply roll my wrist quickly from a horizontal to vertical position quickly and activity tracking starts. This happens while in bed, cooking in the kitchen, i.e. by doing numerous normal non-workout activities ...

2) Random repeated Incident detection notifications randomly popup which I have to cancel. It happened during a walking activity in which I wasn't in any trouble. More worrisome is it also happened when I was in line at the supermarket checking out ... yeah prices have gone up recently but really?

So is it me, is it defective? I would rather the watch only initiate a activity at my physical request and not by my movement. I have both Move IQ and Auto Activity start disabled and yet ...

TIA

-Brad
