Constant Update required issue

I currently have a Vivoactive 4 which for the past 2-3 weeks has constantly asked for software updates to be installed several times a day. Current software status is below. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.

SW 6.5

GPS 4.8

ANT/BLE/BT 8.02

WI-Fi 2.6

TSC 2.03

Sensor 13.0

WHR 4.00.03

Connect IQ System 4

BMX 4.0.3

Secondary BMX 0.8.0

API Level 3.2.8

  • What is needing update? The Connect app, CIQ, CIQ content, other apps on phone? It might not be the watch software needing an update.

  • Everything was updated that I could find. Only thing I've done is remove and reinstall a watch face. Hopefully that fixes it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Update, After updating the watch face there is still the issue. All I get is the message "Software Updates are available. Est. time 1 min. Install updates now?" which so far in the 20 minutes ive been up this morning this message has shown twice. It wont tell me what needs updating and my connect app CIQ and all apps get updated over night. Phone is always up to date so unsure of the requirement for this message to keep occurring.

  • Im running into the exact same problem since the 6.50 update, did you find a solution yet?

I also resetted to stock and start all over again, but the problem persists.

  • Unfortunately i have not. I can still do updates when they appear but when it shows the est 1 min to install i know its nothing and just hit the ignore everyday. Still awaiting any further information to attempt a fix in the future.

  • Hello all.  These situations can be pretty tricky, as they (usually) involve deleting files off of the watch while in USB (mass storage) mode.  For assistance with this, I highly encourage you to reach out to your local Garmin Product Support team directly.

To do this, type "support.garmin.com" in your address bar and use the Garmin Support Center to research your issue.  Once you get far enough in the search, you will see (at the bottom of the page) some contact options, which may include Call, Chat, and Email.
