Vivoactive 4 sudden battery drain

Hi - first time poster that loves my VA4!

My watch has started losing charge all of the sudden. It'll be at 90 something an out of the blue will warn me I have 10% charge before powering off shortly afterwards.

I did a factory reset last month and it sorted it for a bit but it's now happening again. I'd have said its latest firmware but not heard of many others getting the same issues - any suggestions?

Do you have pulse ox running all the time?

Do you have a lot of notifications being sent to watch?

Someone here reported that GPS is not turning off after using. I don't see that problem, but maybe?

Is the some CIQ app or watch face running?

Suffered with battery drain before and it's normally something running in the background. This however is a sudden drop of 80% with no warning. Really strange, can only think it's the software?

Hi,

I have the same since 6.40 firmware.
Changed nothing to the config of the vivoactive 4 since months, but now the battery only lasts for a bit more then a day.
I did reset of the watch already without succes.

I updated to the last firmware 6.50 yesterday, but the issue is still there. Lost 40% battery in about 6 hours.

Pulse ox is turned of, no special faceplates installed, bluetooth is of, brightness on 10% and guestures off.

Realy annoying issue. Makes my watch useless.

I also have a lot of issues to get my bluetooth connection up and running again.
The connect app just don't find my watch. Tried everything on that. Resetting my phone. removing the device from connect, form the phone....

I’m sorry to hear of the battery drain issues that you’re experiencing. Let’s start by power cycling (turning off and then back on) your watch. If the battery drain persists and if you have any Connect IQ (CIQ) Content, especially watch faces, you may need to delete that content until the independent developer is able to update their app/watch face to function correctly (without causing a battery drain) with the new firmware version on your watch. You can use any of the 3 FAQs below to uninstall the CIQ content.

These steps does not help me to solve this software issue
