Just swipe out of widget after reading. It doesn't keep running after that.
Maybe they did it to give you a chance to fix "fit" of watch if it doesn't measure the first time. You used to have to swipe out of widget then come back in after adjusting to try again.
I really don't see this as a big deal.
Personally I think the inaccuracy in the readings is the BIG deal and Garmin should be working on that.
The inaccuracy cant be fixed. Accurate readings are only possible with an fingersensor where the light is going through the finger. The Light from the watch only gets the skinsurface....
