HR broadcast - backlight not turning off

I'm a bit surprised I don't see anyone else with this issue here - since 2 or 3 weeks my display backlight stays on all the time while broadcasting HR, which just kills the battery. I have to set the backlight to 0% manually before broadcasting if I plan to go on a longer bike ride.

Installed FW is 6.30, unfortunately I'm not sure if this problem already existed before the last update.

I have NOT done a reset yet because it is always such a pain in the a** to set everything up again but if no one else can reproduce that I sure will give it a try.

same here... even I reset it, nothing works properly. I've disabled the backlight in activity and gesture and still keeps luminating when I gesture. Needless to mention all the other flaws which come up after each "update". In the verge of smashing it and sent it back to them...

While chatting with the support I realized this is not just when broadcasting but whenever I'm on the HR widget. Backlight just stays on. Is this really not an issue for anybody else? Even a master reset didn't help, so Garmin is willing to replace my watch but I'm having a hard time believing that this behavior can be hardware related.
