6.10 Battery drain fix

I never had a battery issue with FW upgrades until this update...After 6.10 it was horrible as with most of you, about 4%/ h so in total 1.5days

Finally fixed it by following a suggestion form a forum user dahero00, would suggest it for all and hopefully it will work for you:

Full restart of the watch
Full charge to 100%
Completely turn off, wait 30 minutes
Turn it on.

After this procedure, im back to about 0.5%/h. Actually a bit better than before!

Tried it and didn't really had an impact on my watch, getting around 1.2-1.5% per hour.

Also tried, no difference from before. I have about 1.5-2%/h

I tried it an for me, 17 hours in and only used 4% battery. I hope this has truly fixed it as I’ve had issues since 5.80

Hello all! Many battery drain issues, especially after a firmware release, are due to Connect IQ (CIQ) content (usually a watch face) that has been downloaded to the device in question that is also needing an update by the independent developer of that app. To resolve your battery drain issue, please use one of the FAQs below to uninstall any CIQ watch faces that you have downloaded to your watch.

Still having this issue after update to 6.20 on Vivoactive4. It is connected with my morning alarm. Before the alarm goes off the watch will dim after 4-5 seconds (short delay setting). As soon as the alarm goes off in the morning the dimming feature no longer works. This causes the battery to drain quickly. Also I have noticed the time does not update, it stays displaying the time of the alarm. Workaround is to power down and power up the watch straight after the alarm, dimming starts working again.

So I can get a full day at normal battery use until the next morning alarm. Having to remove the watch faces doesen't seem like a great fix. Also, I downloaded a new one yesterday after 6.20 update, same issue. If these faces exhibit this issue why not warn users?

So I tried uninstalling watch faces. Nope, that had no effect. Using default watch face and this morning the alram went off and the dimming stopped working.

Deactivate the backlight completely not just 0% solves the problem with battery drain and this is independent of the watchface as many other users reported. Still not an elegant solution but at least works.

Removing alarms solved the issue but hardly a great workaround. Battery life now back to normal
