Is there any specific reason you don't go to the top and bottom for the charge cycle?

Despite keeping all connections open, you are getting good battery life. (I know your battery is slightly bigger)

I'm doing that to prolong battery life, high temperature, discharging to zero and charging up to 100% are the main factors which lower capacity of any Li-ion battery. So I'm doing that for my watches and mobile phones. Generally, having smaller cycles will result in longer battery life, you can read more about this e.g. in here: https://batteryuniversity.com/article/bu-808-how-to-prolong-lithium-based-batteries there are comparison of different charging models and how many cycles battery can do in following conditions.

yeah, I'm also puzzled a bit as expected better life from the 4s version, but maybe the answer in gestures? you didn't mentioned them, and they can eat a lot of battery. Myself I turned them off as I rarely check the watch in total darkness and otherwise they are perfectly visible, and I always can touch them to turn on backlight if needed. I also use smaller backlight brightness. So maybe give it a try and adjust those to see if battery life would improve? Same with vibro mode which is set to lowest.

And regarding notifications, I only pass important ones to my watch, the rest are disabled to save my attention and battery life.

Great info; yes, I will also do something similar.

expected better life from the 4s version

Yes, even I expected better. But yes, my gestures already off. Backlit is 20% that could be one reason. Vibration is at medium because I do these breathing exercises and like to have feedback. Probably I will turn them down and do a fresh battery calculation.

I am waiting for someone with 4s to post their statistics here.
