Dead Vivoactive HR

My Vivoactive HR has been giving me trouble almost from day one. It used to freeze and I had to hard-reset it pushing the left button for 10-15 seconds. Other times the watch would turn on displaying the wrong time and I had no way to correct that. Finally, last week I went swimming and when I came out of the water the watch was completely dead. I tried charging and resetting it but nothing seems to work, it is still completely dead.

Hi, i am in Canada. I called Garmin and the offered me 130 $ discout on a new vivoactive hr...which is discontinued so there wont be any update on the software or anything or a 20% discount on another watch that could interest me.

They were nice...saying that sometimes you can get better price on other website and sellers than Garmin.

But still....i had this watch for 4.5 years...i think it's a shame that it doesn't last more and that out of the blue like that it is not waterproof anymore.

So , if ever i get a new watch...it will not come swimming with me i think....well at least once the warranty is over no more swimming.

Thats sad....

By the way, I also have a Garmin approach S4 that has been giving me trouble freezing up since it was new, but so far I have managed to reset it and it still works. I am beginning to wonder If this is a pattern with Garmin watches and I am afraid I am not looking forward to replace them with other Garmin products.

I am writing in english so the guys at Garmin can understand me, although I don´t know if Garmin -AmberD is somebody from Garmin or another customer.
