Backlight screen always on during activity

Have a new Vivoactive 4. Tested an activity..walking. Worksed fine and first time backlight switched off as per my settings. These haven't changed but now whenever I do a walk activity the backlight stays on all the time ever switching off draining battery within the hour. It means can't do a long activity. Makes watch unstable.

Help! Is it a glitch? Backlight is on gesture short all the time.

Yeah even after 8 months I still face same problem. Today I went for a run and after 30 minutes, battery went from 50% to 17%, after switching backlight off it drained only 7% in on hour of remaining run. The problem seems with gyro/accelerometer algorithm, because it does not track hands movement correctly. Even then my hand is completely by my side garmin thinks that I am looking directly into it. It is a pitty, that quite expensive device has such problems.
