Hello 6498360. To get the Echo earbuds initially paired with your watch, please make sure that they are not connected (via Bluetooth) or even paired to (able to connect via Bluetooth) to ANY other devices. After you have removed the buds from all other devices for which they were previously paired, you should have better luck.
Once you are successfully paired, you may "re-pair" the headphones to other devices. like a smartphone. Keep in mind though, that most headphones will only be able to sustain an active Bluetooth connection with one device (watch or phone) at a time, not both.
Mine connect fine, but unless the echo buds are connected directly to your phone (and Alexa app) they become 'dumb' headphones, instead of having 'smart' features. Kind of makes it a bit pointless.
