I'm new to the Vivoactive 4 and am trying to figure out a problem with an erratic touchscreen. When I first unboxed it, every time I plugged in the charger, the touchscreen would get very weird and not respond to about 90% of my touches or gestures for the first few minutes after disconnecting the charger (it worked fine when plugged in). It did this every time I connected the charger cable and disconnected it.
About 3 or 4 hours later, the touchscreen suddenly started working perfectly. I never restarted it, but it ran it's normal updates and syncing, so Idk if one of those fixed it.
But I still have this problem where every few hours, the touchscreen just becomes very unresponsive and either won't respond to my touches or only responds to a few of them. Just trying to swipe up or down becomes nearly impossible. I have to do it repeatedly before it finally gets my touches. It'll do this for a few minutes, then will work fine for several hours, then starts messing up again.
Also Idk if this is related, but every time I reorder the widgets, the swiping through the widgets gets crazy for an hour or two. For example (this is repeatable): If I swipe down quickly, it will skip past 3 widgets. If I swipe slowly, it won't skip and will do them in order. I thought maybe this was just an ill-advised feature at first but soon discovered that it ONLY does this immediately after a reordering of the widgets. After an hour or 2 later, it'll settle down and work fine again.
I'd have to say that other than the absolutely dreadful screen resolution and fuzziness, the erratic nature of the touchscreen is the next worst thing about this watch.
