Hi there, anyone who has already installed 5.80? How is it?

My battery is currently draining very fast.
Lost 35% in 10 hours (with a 50 min run)

But it drained only 3% during my sleep... weird, as usual.

Edit : 100% at midnight, wore the watch through the night…

I did try a factory reset after having battery issues and still having the same battery issues. Please look into this update to patch this leak.

same....same... 3.5-4.0%/hr instead of 0.5/hr :(

Catalin I'm not sure but maybe I have the same issue, can't say for sure as I was rather idle last few days because of amount of work but my active minutes stay on 30. I'll try to workout today and see if that's the case.

Jonathan have you used their training or where do you see it?

Former Member I seriously doubt that would ever happen, maybe on Venu 2 or newer devices but VA4 is basically discountinued in eyes of Garmin, at least when it comes to implementing new features.

I have 650 intensity minutes so far this week, so it is definitely counting in 5.80.

ovekvam, glad to hear this. I've had a workout yesterday and a little running this morning, but my watch is still counting zero minutes.

Further to my post of 2 days ago. I used Walk to record my round of golf today. Took me 3 hours and 49 minutes. Instead of draining 30% with golf, its drained 20% with walk.

I still feel the VA4 is not fit for purpose, but I've had it over a year and cannot return. What's most frustrating is that battery life (for me) gets worse with each iteration of firmware and not better !

The battery in my Va4 is draining much faster. I lost 50% of battery in 1 day and I recorded only 1h walk during this time.

Catalin I had a 7km walk today and got +50 minutes so I guess it's still working.

My wife just noticed her vivoactive 4s on 5.8 showing up notification in perfect traditional Chinese characters. Awesome update. I wonder why it's coming to Venu and Vivoactive 4 series so far.

I've also found a huge battery drain. I literally didn't do anything yesterday as I was ill all day, yet I only had 12% battery left by bedtime, whereas I'd normally expect to see about 70% left after 20k+ steps. Not impressed...
