Version 5.80 discussion

This morning I installed 5.80 and went and played golf. First of all the battery drain was much greater than in weeks past, I started at 100 percent and after 9 holes and less than half a day I'm done to 50 percent.  2nd, the activity of todays golf shows in my activities in Connect but in the golf app all my scores from the course I played today are gone from the last 6 months and it did not record todays round. I play this course at least weekly and I look at the stats. I know all my rounds were there last week and today all the scorecards are gone. And no, I do not login with more than one account. 

This defeats the purpose of a golf app, to be able to compare your performance with past rounds. 

Hello, I just noticed that my VA4 doesn't count anymore the weekly activity minutes. Zero this week so far.

5.8 installed, no changes for me 

Garmin Connect App in my phone now shows the muscle group I worked in Strength activities

Battery drain... Losing 2.8-3.5%/hr instead of 0.5-0.6

no problem with battery drain (around 0,4%/hour overnight). Connect IQ watch face doesn't show alarm status now

My battery drains 70% overnight since this update. No previous issues.

It happens every time Garmin updates their firmware. Most watches run just fine, but some unfortunate watch owners end up with issues in the update process. The firmware itself is okay, but it is installed incorrectly. The remedy is typically some sort of reboot. Sometimes just switching it off and back on. Sometimes forcing it off, let it stay off a minute, and power it back on. Or worst case, having to do a factory reset.

Thanks - I think it's time for a factory reset in this case. Is it easy enough to reinstall watch face & settings etc after a factory reset?
