My brand new vivoactive 4 won't charge

I had the same trouble, replaced the cable at my own expense, same problem. I finally worked out I needed to use a USB charger with at least 10 watts , now it’s charging perfectly. The USB chargers that come with the phones don’t have enough power to work. If Garmin supplied a USB charger with their phones the problem would not occur.

It won’t charge off the laptop or pc, not enough power, you need to use a USB charger of at least 10 watts, 12 is better. Garmin should supply one with their watches to solve the problem, unfortunately they don’t .

My Vivoactive 4S charges just fine from a USB port of my Lenovo P53 laptop.

Oops, sorry, mine is a vivosmart 4 , different model , still worth that person trying a more powerful charger if they have one, 

We have the same problem with it not charging. Purchased yesterday and will not charge with the cable supplied.

Charges with the cable from my husbands watch. This should not be the case.
