Vivoactive 4 cuts off music when selecting training mode e.g Running

Just bought new ear plugs Sony WF-XB700 to replace my old Urbanista Athens ear plugs because of of them was not working. Now I have an issue with my vivoactive 4 watch. I have no trouble pairng the new ear plugs to the watch and start listening to the music. But as soon as I'm about to to choose a specific sport mode the music gets cut off. If I leave the Activity mode then the music start playing again. That being said I'm unable to listen to music while using e.g activities. How to fix this problem ?

  • In the training mode you select, is there some bluetooth sensor connected, or being searched for? I can imagine that could disturb the bluetooth connection to your headset. I have no such issues with mine, but I only use it for treadmill running.

  • I just tested with my old ear plugs and I get no issues. I can select training mode and music plays on. But it does not work with my new earplugs.

The headset icon is shown e.g when choosing running, but the music gets cut or right away. Once i go back eg to time screen or the list where training modes are music starts playing.

Hello! We have had a similar problem with Jabra headphones, if you go to your sensor list, do you see two sensors being paired? Potentially one that says "FP-". Here is the article on this, could I have you see if this is the same issue on your watch?

  • No, only a single sensor is paired.
