Is Pulse Ox available in Australia?

I am considering getting a vivoactive 4 but before I do I want to check if Pulse Ox works in Australia. All it says online is not available in some countries but I can’t find a list of those countries anywhere online.

also are there plans to add skin temperature to this watch at some stage?

Thanks

There are some folks that say they're from Australia and have Garmin watches with Pulse OX available.

    And a quote:

"Yeah, so it looks like the Venu specs page on the Garmin Australia website says it has Pulse Ox Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor, so I'm happy with that. Thanks!"

    1. I am from Australia and the Pulse OX on my VA4 works as per specs. (VENUE has same spec). Ie. can be set by user to record POx all day, just overnight while sleeping or not record at all.  However I must admit that I find POx of little use as my readings for last 6 months were always in the 90-100% range (normal) . I now rarely turn POx on. Otherwise I am happy with the other functionality of my VA4 (except Sleep monitoring is poor) . I doubt that skin temp functionality can or will ever be offered  on this watch.
  • Thanks Svenxx. Out of interest what is wrong with the sleep monitoring - it looks quite good on the promotional blurb.

  • I think some of the health data (eg. sleep) reported as ‘fact’ by the watch are really just ‘derived’ values adjusted/massaged to statistical norms for the users profile. Eg. If you change your profile normal sleep/wake times this will change what will be recorded as actual sleep time. The Deep, REM, Light sleep components also don’t appear to match my experience of my sleep. Daytime naps are not acknowledged. I don’t want to bag my watch to much as it does most things well. Eg. Optical heart rate, chest strap, GPS tracking and measurement, event timing, Garmin pay, music/ear buds, water proofing, battery, etc work fine for me.
