stuck on watchface

While scrolling through widgets (fast), the watch freezes when I get to the watchface. I can see the secs running, only the touchscreen does not respond. All buttons remain responsive. After I press any of them, the touchscreen works again.
Anyway, it's fine. It feels like it's something with the software. I'm running on 5.60

What can be the problem? I tried soft and hard reset too, still the same.

Hello! Would you be able to provide a short video clip of this happening and attach it here?

  • Thank you for providing this! Did it do this before the update? When did this issue occur? Does it happen on a different watch face?

  • Actually, I have this watch since last week. So I don't know how it worked before the update.

It only occurs when I want to reach a widget as fast as you saw in the video. It's a little bit disturbing. If I do it slower, there's no issue.

Yes, it happens with every watchface (stock and CIQ watchfaces as well).

  • I tried it on my VA4S, and the same thing happened.

  • I have the same problem in 5.60

  • This might be related with the second hand bug.

To me it happens only when using analog watch faces. I only have the preinstalled Garmin ones, so can't check with 3rd party analogs.

And it's a little inconsistent, it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes I can go for 5-10 "laps" without freezing, then try it again and freezes the first "lap", so this is a weird one.

    VA4, btw.

  • I use a built in digital watch face, and it happens. The watch face does have an outer ring showing seconds, so I guess it is semi analog.

  • For me with analog and digital watchfaces, too. Yep, it's kinda incosistent.

  • Hey guys! When this happens, are you able to eventually swipe out of the watch face? Or is the watch face completely unresponsive after waiting a period of time? Is the only way to fix this to press the top right button?
