loading music fails and corrupts

I am so disappointed as was loving my new Vivoactive 4 until this...

First I had two Bluetooth headphones that wouldn't connect so finally ordered a new on one their compatibility list and that at least worked but the others should've too.

Then I load some base music via direct USB xfer and that worked and played fine.

So then tried loading the rest of my library which I painstakingly edited down to songs I wanted and lower bitrate to reduce size (I'm talking hours and hours!)

But what a disaster when trying to load it...

First tried Garmin's own Express program on a PC and it only transferred about 1/3 of the songs and said error with the rest but didn't give any details!?

Then tried direct USB xfer again and was even worse... it kept crashing with just a chime but no error msg? Then it got really bizarre when files that had already been transferred started to disappear!? The folder would say "empty" yet something was still taking up space so it's like the files were there yet weren't!? Corruption of some sort. Also the watch would often freeze and had to force power cycle it!

I tried many times from two different PCs and same problem, even doing just small batches at a time, it was infuriating! Many hours wasted!

So then thought maybe had a defective watch so got a brand new one and right out of the box same problem!

Now granted I'm trying to xfer about 1,100 songs I've read in places a "limit" of 500, but that seems rather arbitrary and others have said it's really a space limitation and I know I have plenty available space for this library. Also if that was an issue then why doesn't their own app say so before trying to xfer!?

I also read someone had better luck using Windows Media Player which haven't tried yet. But why would that work better their own app? And nothing excuses the crashing and corruption from doing a simple USB xfer!

So if I can't get this to work soon I'll be returning both watches!!
