My new Vivoactive 4s did not record heart rate for many hours.

So I have had the watch for a few days. Today I switched off the Bluetooth sometime before 9am to save battery. I switched it on at around 8pm and synced and noticed that the heart rate was not mapped to the graph. Hence I also do not get any account of body battery. The heart rate was still ticking when the Bluetooth was off. The phone synced fine because an activity I did in between did show on connect.

Why is that? I did all the reset, reseted the phone as well as read installed the app. But that gap is still not graphed.

  • Hello! If you go into the heartrate widget on the watch, does it show the last 4 hours? If so, could you try to sync with Garmin Express on your computer to see if it syncs over the heartrate information? Is the watch currently tracking heartrate and syncing it with the app?

It is showing the live heart rate and started to track it at 8 pm around. I cannot get the data for the HR during the day on the watch, garmin connect on the app as well as online on pc.

Interestingly the 'relax' as well as the activity (that I did during the time that the HR graph does not show HR) shows HR under those activities. But not on the general HR graph.

Also this is the same for all the other graphs..that interval does not show body batter, stress etc.

Okay, if you have the heartrate widget set up on your watch, it will show the last four hours. I was trying to see if it recorded it there or not. Did you try to sync with Garmin Express on your computer?

Yes I did sync it with Garmin Express. And then checked the values on watch widget as well on garmin connect and the gap still exists. Watch only shows values of last 4 hours for all the elements such as HR, body battery, stress. How do I get the gap filled?

If syncing with Garmin Express on your computer didn't work, I do not believe that we will be able to sync this previous information. Going forward, if you notice this issue again, please let me know.
