Creating a watchface bug

When creating a watchface and adding data fields to it, the notifications (alarms, DND, connection, low battery) field is cropped when put on the left or right side. This is a long lasting problem but still persists in 5.60. It would also be great if Garmin added some more backgrounds instead of those disgusting single colors that nobody uses. More detail colors would also be fine.

Hello! Would you be able to provide a picture of this data field being cropped off on your watch face? In regards to adding more backgrounds and colors, I will create a feature request for you and pass it along.

Hi is there a way to submit these requests? I can think of at least 2 I have seen people make. 1. Swiping away notifications without having to open them. 2. Click a button in DND to get the face to light up instead of touching the face to prevent accidental lighting.

There is not a way for customer's to submit these, but I can add to the existing ones we have and/or create a new one.

Okay, thank you for providing this picture! Just to verify, have you tried a hard rest/factory reset with the same outcome? If so, I will get a case set up for you as it should not be shown that way.

  • Thanks is the info I gave enough for you to submit these 2?

Yes it is! I have already added you to the Notifications feature request case and will get you added to the backlight feature request.

Okay thank you, I will create a case on this and keep you updated.

Hey, do you mind if I reach out and grab more information from you by email?
