Intensity minutes missing

How is it possible to have no minutes when I'm walking 7800 steps/day and shoveling snow for a half hour at a crack?

  • It depends on your recorded heart rate. I never get high enough heart rate from walking to get any intensity minutes. Maybe your settings for heart rate zones matter as well.

  • I used to get moderate intensity minutes walking.

Shoveling snow ought to do something.

Hello! In order to get any intensity minutes, you must reach or exceed 10 consecutive minutes where your step count rate or heart rate is elevated above the threshold that is considered moderate intensity. Also, when you were shoveling snow, did you start an activity profile before hand? It is suggested that anything outside of a brisk walk or running be recorded. This ensures the heart rate is being monitored consistently.

  • I had my Intensity minutes set to manual and HR3/HR4 before. Didn't record any activity, even while doing cycling for 30 minutes with avg HR in H4. Went back to 'Automatic' and it's as if a sneeze is considered an high intensity minute.
