Hi there,

I experiensed vo2max issue last 7 days - vívoaitive 4s doesn't measure regularly vo2max during activities. Normally after each activity (run / walk) vo2max was indicated on display also it was saved and sync. Last 7 days it measure maybe 3 times (during 7 activities - each time 60 minuts run).

 Can you help?

Hello! Were these activities performed outdoors with GPS or indoors? Additionally, was your heart rate elevated to at least 70% of your maximum heart rate for at least 10 minutes continuously in these activities? Here is a helpful article that describes why the VO2 max could not be updating.

  • Hi Isabella,

acivities are performad outdoors, with GLONAS+GPS. Last update of vo2max is dated to 12.1. I'm not sure about heart rate (it's absolute value). For example today - walk (data from watch):

    91-108 hr - 15:47 minutes

    109-126 hr - 35:27 minutes

    speed 6,5 km/h

    temp 9:17 min/km

    max hr: 126 (average 111)

    Should it measure vo2max?

  • My VA4S has updated the VO2Max (same value, but new date) twice lately. Once for an indoor treadmill run, and once for an indoor spinning session. I didn't think the watch should use that kind of activities to update VO2Max.

This will be dependent of what your max heartrate is set up for in your Garmin Connect.

  • where is this setup in garmin connect?

  • where is this setup in garmin connect?

It can be found in both Garmin Connect (Menu > Garmin Devices > Vivoactive 4 > User Settings > Heart Rate Zones > Max Heart Rate) or the watch (Menu > Settings > User Profile > Heart Rate Zones > Default > Max HR)
