My GPS is stuck on 'Wait for GPS' and won't acquire a signal

I've tried resetting multiple times and still no resolution

I've tried using Garmin Express and Garmin Connect to update software, no resolution

I've tried leave the watch sit out for hours and it isn't catching a signal still. I don't live in an area with tall buildings etc and I've tried going to places with no trees or anything around and no fix.

Any ideas what else I can try?

Hello! I am sorry to hear this is happening on the watch. What activity profile are you using? When resetting, are you going into the settings of the watch and setting it back to factory settings. How long have yo had this device?

Hello

I'm resetting back to factory settings. I've tried the GPS after reset and after using Garmin Express update. I've tried using run and cycle profiles.

I've had the device 7 months, bought directly from Garmin

I have been having the same issue for the past 2 to 3 months. Is there anything that helped you resolve this?

I only managed to get the GPS to work once out of the past 10 or so attempts on different types of activities. I even went on runs waiting for my GPS to get ready for the whole 30 minutes. So I am just looking for anything new that I could try before sending my watch back under warranty (it is not even 6 month old yet).

Hey, there was no fix so I just sent it back to them and they sent out a new one and now it's working perfectly! Think you might need to do the same

Thanks for the suggestion. I was a little reluctant to reset to defaults as I knew it would take me a long time to customise everything again (and it did!). But this improved things drastically. My GPS has successfully launched for all except one of my past 6 or so activies. It is still a bit slow to get ready though, so I will keep an eye on it.
