Sony headphones disconnect when activity starts

I have new Sony headphones which are compatible with the vivoactive 4 series which connect with the watch and work until I hit 'start activity', when sound stops. Has anyone solved this problem?

  • Had this issue which is sickening.only way is to reset the watch without deleting other data, and then to re-pair the Bluetooth device with watch

Hello! Do you have any other Bluetooth accessories paired to your device? Or are the Sony headphones paired with your phone or any other device? If so on either, please make sure to go into the menu and remove extra sensors and to remove the headphones from your phone.

After doing this, please try to re-pair the headphones to your watch and see if you continue to experience the same issue of the music stopping when you start an activity. If you do, please let me know!

  • Same problem, i found out that if i leave one of the headphones switched off in the charging box its works.

  • Tried your suggestions and I am still having the same problem. Any other ideas?!

Hello! What headphones are you using? Have the headphones been removed from your phone?

  • I know this thread is old, but in case anyone experiences this problem, I've been successful getting my Sony WF-1000XM3 to work properly - stay connected and no skipping/stuttering of music. Choose your activity first, and then pair your headphones after that. It seems that the watch takes some resources to acquire a GPS signal and that interferes with the headphone's Bluetooth connection from then on, but if you initiate the GPS signal and then pair the headphones, everything seems to work fine (for me at least).

  • Hello I fixed it following this procedure: first of all start to hear your music from your Garmin watch with your headphones for about a minute, before you start an activity. Then start your activity normally. That's all. (It worked fine with my Venu 2 Plus & Sony WF-C500)

    Kind regards,

    Aldo
