Mine does measure the stress, but the readings are very high almost all the time, it doesn't represent the real state. I'm sitting on a chair for one hour and the watch tells me in in high or medium stress…
I have the same situation: stress is too high and body battery doesn't charge even if I stay 3 hrs on sofa at TV or even during the all night sleep.
These two are related and it seems having bugs
