When/how is Sp02 ("pulse ox") measured?

Hi folks

On my VA4, I see the "Pulse Ox" widget OK, and sometimes a message appears saying "Keep still...." This usually takes half a minute or so, then a reading appears. More often, though, I just see a percentage, but it's often not up to date. So, for example, sometimes it will say "Now", but more often it will say "10 minutes ago" or even longer.

Is it possible to force the watch to take a reading at a specific point in time? Or does the "10 minutes ago" indicate that it has been trying to take a reading for 10 minutes, but has been unable to ?

Mine typically says 7 days ago or something, as I only measure when I stumble into this widget by accident.
But you have to stay very still to make a measurement, so it is difficult to do without actually sleeping or doing it on purpose.

Also if you enable it during "sleep" it appears to be taken during the hours you told the watch you sleep. And I also think it only measures during those hours when you are stll.
