Can you completely turn off - disable the bluetooth on this device? There is a setting to turn it off, but is this just to stop pairing with the phone app? I want to be able to completely disable bluetooth.

Unfortunately not. This question has also been raised a few times with Garmin here on the forums and they kind of evade answering the question saying Bluetooth turns off when you disable the phone connection…
Found that Fenix 6 has an Airplane Mode available in the shortcutsmenu. Would be a nice solution for the VA4.
